Bowling is FUN!
Recently, I participated a bowling tournament organized by Hokkaido Information and Communication Technology Association(HICTA).
That was my first time to play bowling. Due to the fact that a tournament was being place at the same time as our game,
I was both excited and worried.
Though I previously reads some rules and watch some video how to bowl, but when I arrived in the bowling arena,
I understood the difference between real life experience and virtual experience.
I asked my seniors to gather more knowledge, saw their movement closely how they perform the throw.
When my turn comes, I was nervous to through the ball. It seems quite heavy.
Most of the balls I tossed on my first few attempts ended up on the sidewalls.
After few tries I managed to hit all the pins at once. I felt so excited and cheer with my seniors.
That was a pleasant experience because I gained new knowledge and discovered my flaws in the process.
This bowling tournament participation made me a realization that,
Sometimes we need to step out from our comfort zone and try new things.

最近、北海道IT推進協会主催のボウリング大会に参加しました。
ボウリングをするのは初めてでした。試合は大会形式で行われるということで、楽しみでもあり不安でもありました。
事前にいくつかのルールを読み、ボウリングの方法のビデオを見ましたが、
ボウリング場に到着したとき、イメージと実際の違いが分かりました。
先輩方にいろいろと聞いて、どのように投げているのか、動きをよく見てみました。
自分の番が来たとき、ボールを投げるのに緊張しました。
かなり重いようです。最初の数回の試行で投げたボールのほとんどは、ガーターになりました。
何度か挑戦した後、なんとか一度で全てのピン倒すことができました。先輩と一緒に盛り上がって喜びました。
練習の過程で新しい知識を得たり、自分の欠点を発見したりしたので、楽しい経験でした。
このボウリング大会に参加して、時には快適な空間から出て、新しいことに挑戦する必要があるということに気づかされました。
